Doug LaRue - A Solo Show

On March 9th, Gallery Lucid will be presenting a solo show by Doug LaRue. This will be something a little different than the artists we typically present.  Doug is an Austin-local painter,  photographer, and ink artist.   
He was exposed to a wide range of creative expression at an early age and embraced the organic nature of painting expressed by his mother,  and the technical aspects of Photography and Design he drew from his father, an Engineer.

LaRue took classes in photography at SMU and interned with several photographers including Dan Coleman, a peer of Ansel Adams in the 60’s. He got a BS in Environmental Design while working as a photojournalist and artist for newspapers and magazines

Doug is always creating. He has worked in architecture, been a creative director, a medical illustrator, a photographer, cinematographer, a painter, and he owned and operated an arts Zine in Austin.
