7/20/2018 2 Comments Artist Spotlight-Melanie FarrisMelanie Farris is a visionary artist based in Austin, TX. She began drawing and painting after a friend introduced her to sacred geometry in 2012. Since then she has been on a journey to create visionary art to brighten the world! She is inspired by the mysteries of the cosmos and geometric patterns found throughout nature, just to name a few. Creating art began as a meditative therapy and blossomed into a thriving passion. Her paintings are meant to illicit calm, happiness, and reflection.   She works primarily in acrylics and creates hypnotic paintings intended to take the viewer to the unknown. Her art represents the familiar and that which is alien. Viewers may be compelled to touch her textured creations, inspired by naturally occurring harmonies and patterns in nature. Her paintings are meant to be meditative, eliciting calm and reflection. I’m impressed, I must say. Really rarely do I encounter a blog that’s both educative and let me tell you, you have hit the nail on the head.
