Tourmaline Todd Shepherd
Todd Shepherd is known for his chaotically detailed paintings and unique jewelry creations. His background in architecture, nature, and music inspire these diverse compositions. The use of mixed media on large and small scales draws the viewer in, allowing them to discover details in the colorful lines and fades that fill the canvas. Performing in front of crowds and with experimental music as the backdrop, his paintings come to life organically with explosions of intricate shapes and symbols. Playful and expressive strokes combined with balanced symmetry invoke dimensional patterns that encourage exploration and moments of reflection. These designs translate well into three dimensions and have been used in jewelry production. He currently resides in his hometown and creative center of Austin Texas.
